Long-awaited plans are now in place to build a brand-new railway station which, according to Walsall MP Eddie Hughes, will “bring money, improvements and investment to the area”.
Willenhall station will reopen its line on Bilston Street – just south of the town centre – for the first time in more than 50 years as part of a £4 billion transport roll-out.

Mr Hughes MP said: “Reopening the Walsall to Wolverhampton railway line is a key transport pledge I made during the election.Transport Minister Chris Grayling MP was on hand in Willenhall this week, adding: “We are absolutely committed as a government and we have a great partnership with Andy Street in the West Midlands to deliver the right kind of transport system for the future
