According to Modern Railways there is signalling interferance problem north of Colton Jn (not Northallerton as quoted in the magazine), similar problems occured/occuring west of Didcot when under electric power. MR says Type testing should be complete by the end of November and then LNER require 8 weeks for full driver training.
