A prominent member was advised by an internal contact that if there was a shortage of stock today the 0708 Leeds-Aberdeen would be an HST. An Azuma sped past the Cramlington webcam on time with that service at 0850 so all seemed to be well, and it proved to be a very good day for LNER-so far.
Random glances of 44 services via webcams showed an equal split of 22 each between class 91s and Azumas.
Only one short formed service seen-5 cars on the 1536 Harrogate-Kings Cross throughout. The Stirlings were class 91s and the new extra trains at 0856 from NCL-EDB and 1100 EDB-KGX were 2 X 5 cars
