12 members were present at the meeting to the organiser's pleasure. The room was set up for a kiddie's Halloween Party after ours but this didn't scare our happy band. A lively general discussion preceded the lunch delivery before three main areas received attention- timing French TGVs, TPE cl 397 performance on nonstop Preston-Carlisles and a sideways glance to the Carlisle-Newcastle line with 2 cl 156 runs and a cl 800/1 ECML diversion. The final item from Jonathan Roberts was based around assessing the running times of potential new services with particular regard to gradients. The Tavern's personnel made us most welcome and the Meeting closed at 1430.
