According to the RDG's Staff Restrictions there are "a limited number of unreserved seats in Coach E".

Due to unprecedented demand, we’re expecting services this weekend to be extremely busy.

We've added an additional southbound service Sunday 31st October to depart from Edinburgh at 13:52 and Newcastle at 15:21, open to those with pre-booked tickets for Sunday 31st without seat reservations.
