The ray of hope that the North Trans-Pennine service would be restored from the 12th September to a near normal pre-Covid service has been extinguished and the current timetable will last until the December 2022 change.

No big surprise as seemingly every morning local radio advises short term cancellations due to sickness and the like.

Having been on holiday I looked at their website to see if the strikes are still on and find an exhortation not to travel on Sunday. A note says timetables are yet to be confirmed but a search of RTT shows a very limited service from Leeds that day. Strike or no strike??

On Saturdays & Sundays(all weekends in July) with the Hope Valley route being closed, TPEXP Manchester Pic to Sheffeld trains are diverting via Huddersfield, Wakefield Kirkgate & Moorthorpe, some if not all call at Huddersfield for passengers according to TPEXp journey finder app.
