The spokesman for Southern stated that the new trains imported from Scotland were not as reliable as the existing units that Southern had.
This is borne out by the fact that I have yet to see a Scottish import on the Brighton Ashford service. This line is, of course, further away from the Selhurst depot.
Performance wise the Scottish units are up to scratch, and historically Scots people have a good reputation as engineers. I wonder what happened?
