GPS problem - Posted: May 25, 2019 - 10:08 PM Quote and reply
I have a Garmin 60CSx which has performed well for years. On Wednesday we went from Derby to Birmingham and as we passed under the M6 Toll the time jumped forward 11 seconds.
I was unaware at the time, only found out when checking the time at Bromford Bridge Jn when I got home.
I spent a few hours in Birmingham, in the city, with the machine still switched on in my bag.
On the return train a bit further east than the Toll motorway (but within a mile or so) it jumped backwards 11 seconds to the correct time.
I have never noticed it do this before. Any ideas?

Have had a few minor incidents in the last few weeks but nothing like yours that I've noticed Bob. A watch that kept perfect time has gone a few seconds out of synch twice with the GPS by 2 secs. Probably the watch but have checked that both are in line with the atomic clock at the time of writing so will monitor this.
