The 1006/1206/1406 KX-Lincoln and return were all 5-car class 800/2 bi-modes. The 1206 covered the 10.65 miles from Newark to Thorpe on the Hill in 12m 27s before catching up an oil train. Lincoln was reached in 23m 49 - booked 28 mins. After a 79 min turn round Collingham (11.55 miles) was passed in 14m 30 and Newark reached in 23m 15, booked in 24 mins. There was a 5 mph sig check approaching the Flat Crossing.
