The Dept of Transport has today approved 2 Trains & Works act applications.
1. The Ashington Line in Northumberland
2. Dewsbury Westtown to Huddersfield

Network Rail have announced today that Huddersfield to WEsttown (Dewsbury) upgrade is to go ahead with more tracks and platforms and 100 mph running. Included is two 32 day closures at Huddersfield.
