Last Monday's Channel 5 Paddington Station 24/7 shows a sequence filmed in the cab, and at Control, of an attempt to beat the Paddington to Reading all-comers record with a class 800 on a normal service train, given an unusually clear road. The record was quoted as 20m 46 in 1988 which curiously matches the information given in our fastest times!
It's just after the second ad break.
