Does anyone have the distance (miles & chains) for the former signal box at Shap Summit?

Diesel Enthusiasts Pocket Guide published by Bradford Barton has 39m 58c. Not sure how accurate it is.

Measuring old maps concurs with the distance shown on the Signalling Record Society's site as 37m 55ch.

Out of interest I've extracted this from a recent vast NR list of gradient change data for Shap Incline.
Grade 76
Start
54.4410331 -2.609063299
Finish
54.49169766 -2.663063557
If I've got it right:
33m 21ch to 37m 38.5ch

39m 58c would be their estimate for Shap Station signal box.

The 1960 Sectional Appendix shows Shap Station box as 2m 48yds (approx 2m. 2c.) north of Shap Summit Box.
Shap Summit Box was 2m 935yds (2m. 42.5 c) north of Scout Green signal box, which was just north of the former level crossing at 35m. 12c.
Rounding up to the nearest whole number, the 1960 values would be
Shap Summit Box 37m. 55c
Shap Station Box 39m. 57c

Thanks for the replies. So 37m 55c for the former summit box. The summit board on the up side is 37m 50c. Helps when comparing historic logs.

Had a rather good run with Tornado couple of weeks ago which passed the summit board in 34m 31s from Carlisle at 61 mph. So would have passed the former box say 4 sec earlier i.e. 34m 27s. This seems to be a steam record in the preservation era, although of course Tornado isn't preserved!

Load 11 407 tons tare, 435 tons gross. Second coach, so position 3/12.

Need to do some trawling through the archive to see how this compares historically.
