A routine reservation request for a window facing reservation on yesterday's 0715 Leeds-Stevenage made the previous evening was met with a train full message. Success was achieved on requesting any old seat to Grantham where I thought I'd take my chance. I thought that the cracking issue had forced use of a 5 car Azuma but RTT showed a 91 in charge of Monday's service. A fellow member confirms this is now normally booked for 91s.

And so it was that 91130 was in charge and I found seat B52, an aisle seat facing the engine, my 3rd successive back to direction allocation from Leeds. Coach B was fairly busy and I stayed put until Grantham where I got off and moved a coach forward which was occupied by 5 passengers!

The running was adequate but not exhilarating. 12m 14 to Wakey, 16m 59 to Donny and 30m 15 to Granny, sorry Grantham, all unchecked. There were sigs approaching Peterborough, Sandy and Hitchin resulting in a 2 mins late arrival-45m 36s. There may have been a brief 123 but 121 to 122 maxima otherwise.

Off topic most York retail facilities are now open: York Taps, Whistlestop, Starbucks, AMT, Smugs and both Costas.
