FROM SUNDAY 7 NOVEMBER 2021 From the above date and until further notice, a suicide prevention trial is being run at Tilehurst Station at both ends of the DM platform. In the event of a person being at the extreme end of the platform a feint blue led light will illuminate from the existing lighting column, this is accompanied by a localised PA announcement offering assistance. It is envisaged that the light will be barely visible from the Driving cab, however, if you become aware of any issues please inform Control at the next convenient point. In the event you do see the blue lights illuminated there is no need for any action to be taken unless you see something or someone acting suspiciously or in distress, in this case follow normal reporting processes.
